Rating: 3.0/5

CHÂTEAU DE SALES’ 2012 Pomerol exhibits a deep ruby colour and is fully developed, showing clear evidence of age. The nose is intense with black plum, blueberry, and blackberry aromas accompanied by vanilla and spice notes of cloves. On the palate, the wine feels silky with a medium tannin structure and medium acidity, complemented by flavours of blueberry and black plum. Although the finish is of medium plus length, the wine lacks a tertiary flavour component and, at times, feels slightly short.
